As CJ Swickey is a full partner at Perfect Pitch Roofing and a third-generation remodeler with over 20 years of experience in residential construction, home renovation, and insurance-based repairs. From founding his first company more than two decades ago to becoming a trusted leader in Oklahoma’s home repair industry, CJ brings a rare combination of craftsmanship, leadership, and compassion to everything he touches.
But CJ’s story isn’t just about structures—it’s about people. After Hurricane Sandy, he spent three months living on Long Island, leading critical disaster recovery operations. He assessed and managed incoming volunteer crews, ensuring each team had the necessary skills, supplies, and coordination to rebuild homes safely and effectively.
In the aftermath of the May 20, 2013 tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma, CJ served as the lead director for a large-scale, multi-church relief effort. Under his leadership, thousands of homes were repaired, hundreds of thousands of meals were served, massive quantities of supplies were distributed, and over ten thousand loads of laundry were washed for displaced families. As part of the response, CJ also coordinated a powerful 24/7 worship effort that ran continuously during the rebuilding phase, creating an atmosphere of hope, healing, and unity in the heart of devastation. It was during this mission that CJ met Taylor Contreras, now his business partner, bonded by their shared faith, compassion, and calling to restore both structures and spirits.
CJ’s heart for service continues year-round. He directs a nonprofit focused on addressing food deserts by installing greenhouses and building sustainable food systems in underserved neighborhoods. He has partnered with churches nationwide and is certified in terrorism response, having trained in Israel with elite Middle Eastern Search and Rescue Special Forces.
In addition to his work in construction and disaster relief, CJ advocates regenerative agriculture through his involvement with Wind River Microbes. By supporting farmers, ranchers, and landowners with natural microbial solutions, he helps promote healthier soils, reduce chemical dependence, and improve outcomes in agriculture and environmental health, extending his stewardship mission to the land itself.
Despite the breadth of his experience, CJ considers fatherhood his greatest calling. When his son and daughter were born, he intentionally decided to step back from daily construction operations to focus on raising them, teaching, guiding, and investing in their character. As he often says, “The only thing we leave behind that’s worth anything is the next generation. Without them, tomorrow will be lost.”
Whether managing a roofing project, coordinating large-scale relief efforts, nurturing communities through food systems, or raising future leaders, CJ Swickey leads with integrity, purpose, and a legacy-driven mindset—remodeling not just homes, but futures.
